Review: We went to BOP! at Chachabuchi, and this is how it went

If you’re tired of going to the same clubs in Newcastle every week, get yourself to Chachabuchi on a Tuesday night to check out their new student event – BOP!

Perfect for students trying not to delve too far into their overdrafts, the first 100 tickets for BOP! are completely free. After this, entry price starts at £1 and final release is £3 when bought on Fixr.

Regarding drink prices, the bar offers a wide range of cocktails starting from £3, we were amazed to find out the most expensive cocktail was still only £5.

Chachabuchi itself is chic and stylish. The disco ball adorned dance floor is very spacious, making it perfect for students who are sick of cramped club nights that result in having their drink knocked over. The unique smoking area is great vibes, with the heating and lighting eliminating the usual dread of leaving the club for a smoke in Newcastle’s arctic temperatures.

There is a lengthy main bar and an additional smaller bar, meaning you’re not waiting too long for that cheeky double vodka lemonade.

The event is definitely for the disco and house music lovers, which suits the venue well. Not only is there a DJ targeted towards the dance floor, there is an another DJ playing similar tunes outside, greatly enhancing your drunken smoking area chats.

@djbl4ckstar on 12th October was fantastic, playing club-goers’ requests and feeding off the atmosphere.

So, if you’re a lover of groovy techno and want somewhere different but still overdraft friendly to go on a week night other than the usual toon spots, get yourself to Chachabuchi this Tuesday.
