  • Hiruni is currently Features Editor of The Tab Newcastle, where she helps manage the team, edit articles and welcome new writers.
  • Hiruni is passionate about sharing her favourite haunts of the Toon with other students, reporting on important campus news, as well as showing off her incredible Canva skills via @thetabnewcastle's Instagram.
  • In her spare time, you'll find Hiruni on walks around Newcastle with her (borrowed) dog Bodhi, hanging out with her pals and volunteering as president of Newcastle Marrow.

Experience

Hiruni joined The Tab Newcastle in January 2023 as a writer, after being an avid reader and Instagram follower herself. She decided to join the team in hopes of becoming a BNOC, but much to her surprise, this is still a work in progress.

Education

Hiruni attended Heart of England school in her hometown of Coventry, studying Psychology, English Literature and Religious Studies at A Level. She went on to study BSc Psychology at Newcastle University, and is planning to graduate in 2025.
