Here’s everything we lost in Liverpool in 2016
Bring on next year
Accross the world it’s been a year to forget, from devastating wars to the loss of some of the world’s best loved celebrities. Just to remind you of everything we lost in Liverpool this year, here’s a handy list so you can look back and reminisce on all the bad times.
- Juicy (R.I.P)
- Affordable Quad Vods
- Bumper
- The ability to breathe in Heebies on a Thursday
- Harry Anderson
- The ability to realise things
- Having any money left after you buy your bus pass
- Oomoo?? on Smithdown (did anyone ever go in there?)
- The Kazimier
- Mr Cee Tattooz on Smithdown (at least now it’s a cute record shop)
- Subway free areas
- Envi
- The EU (Liverpool voted stay, obvs)
- Respect for the Netball Team
- Library fines
- Obama (not exactly but still hurts)
- Pete Burns
- Kitchen street? (Hopefully not)
- Smithdown Tesco temporarily
- The will to live
- The option to get pregnant and not have a society have an opinion on it (not one, but two)
- Safety on campus
- The SJ printers, several times
- Eduroam
- Trust in any restaurant in Liverpool One
- Fireworks at Sefton Park
- That house on Egerton road
- Two cup finals
- Nation
- Sleep after seeing Shrek on St. George’s Hall
No thanks 2016, it’s been shite. Hopefully 2017 will bring better things to Merseyside. And also take Shrek away.
