Yo! Sushi and student fave Nando’s are the most recent chains to close Liverpool ONE over mice fears.

The two restaurants closed yesterday over hygiene problems after visits from the council’s environmental health department.

Just last week Las Iguanas and Zizzi’s closed for the same reasons, but re-opened their doors on Monday.

In a statement Nando’s said: “We take health and safety very seriously at Nando’s and so have made the decision to voluntarily close our Liverpool ONE restaurant this afternoon.

“As this is an issue affecting other areas of the shopping centre, we are working very closely with the centre management to resolve it.”

Liverpool ONE released a statement yesterday, it said: “Liverpool ONE continues to work very closely with both the council and all of its occupiers to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.

“We are working with our contractors and partners to conduct a comprehensive review of all pest control procedures to ensure we are doing everything possible to minimise the risk of such incidents.”

Fellow Liverpool ONE stores close by have remained up and running throughout the drama.
