Matty Healy has addressed Taylor Swift’s ‘diss track’ and is characteristically unbothered
‘I haven’t really listened’
So, in true Matty Healy fashion, he has admitted he hasn’t even listened to Taylor Swift’s new album, branded full of “diss tracks” about him.
Last week Taylor Swift released her new album The Tortured Poets Department and people soon realised that the whole thing is just full of scathing songs about Matty and their short relationship.
In particular, “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”, “But Daddy I Love Him”, “Fresh Out the Slammer” and “My Boy Only Breaks His Favourite Toys” all include lyrics which fans believe are firmly about him.
But now Matty Healy has spoken out about the whole saga and despite being branded “the smallest man who ever lived” is, of course, unbothered.
After Entertainment Tonight asked him how he would “rate your Taylor diss track compared to the 30 others,” he questioned “My diss track?” before laughing and admitting: “I haven’t really listened to that much of it but I’m sure it’s good.” He then just carried on walking up the street with his hood up.

But despite seeming unbothered, a source told The Sun that Matty had no idea he was going to be referenced on the album and only found out when his name started trending last Friday. The source said: “Matty is currently keeping a low profile working on The 1975’s next album. This time last week he had no idea he was about to become one of the most talked about men on the planet.”

“He has opted to keep silent, but no NDA has been signed. Like Taylor, he uses his music as a form of release and storytelling. It’s naturally caused him to think about their time together and he’s never been one to hold back when speaking his mind.
