It’s time to nominate Lancaster’s Longest Lingerer 2022

It’s no secret that Lancs Tab competitions always get tough. The search for Lancaster’s most notorious BNOC (Biggest Name On Campus) tore friendships apart and made everyone question just how many people they really knew at Lancs Uni. Equally, Lancaster’s Hottest Single was just as gruelling. I wouldn’t be surprised if relationships were ended just to be given a chance to win such a prestigious title.

Clearly, this is a new title to add to Lancs Tab’s long list of student-led competitions, but we feel now more than ever is the time to discover the urchin still clinging to the metaphorical seafloor. Everyone knows somebody who is way past their Lancs sell-by date, but, much like your flatmate’s old milk stinking up your fridge, nobody has dared to tell them they’ve been around too long. Who knows, maybe this is a good thing? Our chosen winner may finally spread their wings far beyond what Lancashire has to offer.
