We found the cheapest trebs in Newcastle, so you don’t have to

Looking for a cheap night out? We have you covered

Newcastle without trebs would be like Ant without Dec or Netflix without the chill – it just wouldn’t make sense. Whether you’re a lime and soda lover or a traditionalist who always gets blue mixer, trebs are a night out staple and nothing gets you mortal quite as quickly.

As our bank balances’ get closer and closer to the overdraft, here’s a list of where you can find the best treb deals in Newcastle:

Market Shaker

3 for £9 or 1 for £3 – Sunday-Thursday

Market Shaker is probably the most popular trebs bar and boasts an iconic playlist that never gets old. If you leave the place sober and don’t end up making friends with strangers in the smoking area, then you are doing it wrong.

It’s a little known fact that you can now buy a single treb for £3, so no more downing one at the bar and you’ll have more money to spend in Athena at the end of the night.

The WonderBar

3 for £7.50 – Monday-Wednesday

One of the only good things to come out of last year was The Wonderbar, which hosts a variety of student events every week.

Located in The Gate, the first floor has a number of dart boards, a pool table and plenty of screens to watch the footy on with a much more relaxing vibe to catch up with friends.

The second floor doesn’t disappoint either, with events like “Hold my Beer” on a Monday and a very lively pub quiz on a Wednesday.

Pumphrey’s

1 for £3 – Every Night

The Toon’s newest student bar situated next to Market Shaker is definitely one to visit to start off your night in style.

The two floors have a groovy selection of Motown, Funk and Soul music with a photo booth, pool table and a terrace all at your disposal. The venue is even available for private hire, so if you’re looking for a place for your next social, look no further.

Mimo

3 for £7.50 – Monday-Thursday

This attic student bar is a must for chilled pre-drinking in town during the week, hidden in an edgy backstreet just around the corner from Big Market.

The Miami-beach inspired club has a cool hideaway outdoor terrace and offers the very best in Lounge, House, Electro, Disco and Soul to gte you in the mood for a good night.

Bijoux

3 for £6.45 – Monday-Thursday

Bijoux might host the cast of Geordie Shore on weekends, but they don’t neglect us lot with plenty of student events during the week, with amazing deals.

Student nights include non-stop 80s and 90s on a Monday, all night long cheesy anthems on a Wednesday, and continuous House on a Thursday – so whatever mood you’re in, Bijoux’s got you covered.

Sinners

1 for £2.50 Sunday-Thursday / 1 for £3 Friday + Saturday

Newcastle’s most notorious student trebles bar is a night like no other and does not disappoint with the club priding itself on serving ‘REAL’ trebs every night.

If you see a group of students hanging from a cage, don’t ask questions and try not to fall down the stairs on the way to the toilets.

Dog and Parrot

3 for £8 – Every Night

Dog and Parrot promises a very unique night out and is a great venue for pres, offering the very best in rock ’n’ roll music and nothing but good vibes with your mates.
