NUSU ranks ninth for satisfaction in the UK

Annabel MurphyAccording to the National Student Survey, students at Newcastle are the ninth most satisfied with their SU in the UK.
80 per cent of you voted that you were happy with the services provided by your students’ union, putting Newcastle in joint ninth place, alongside Belfast. The average was only 70 per cent satisfaction, so you guys are obviously pretty happy with the way the SU is run.
Taking the top spot is Sheffield with 96 per cent and trailing behind, pretty upset with their SU is Oxford, where only 34 per cent of people claimed to be content with their students’ union.
It has recently been reported that students at Newcastle students are among the richest in the UK, and 90 per cent of you also said that you were satisfied with your university as a whole, so you seem to be pretty happy with life, despite the fact that your uni is considering putting its fees up.
Let’s just hope that the cut in uni funding due to Brexit doesn’t affect the performance of the SU.
