More people attended the Leicester City celebrations than Glastonbury

Bring your vodka and your charlie, Victoria Park is having a party

Yesterday Leicester saw crowds bigger than those that flock to Glastonbury every year, with a crowd of some 240,000 people lining the streets to see Leicester City FC presenting the Premier League trophy, ending in a massive party at Victoria Park. Glasto is thought to be home to approximately 175,000 in its annual festival.

The celebration came the day after Leicester’s final game of the season, which saw City draw 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

With appearances from Radio 1 Xtra DJ Mistajam, Kasabian, as well as celebrations for Leicester City Women FC, Mark Selby and the Leicester Raiders, Leicester definitely showed us they’re able to party.

The turn out is all the more jaw-dropping when the population of Leicester alone is just over 337,500.

Looks like Leicester have just set the bar for the biggest party of 2016, with the final party culminating in Kasabian’s two night residency at the King Power Stadium in two weeks time.
