The best places in London to comfort eat, in preparation for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Just 19 days to go
Ignore everything you see. Life is about enjoying every moment and doing what makes you happy, right? And we all know that in reality, this is food, food and more food.
When the annual fashion show hits the screens I have a realisation that even though my legs could never be as long as the models, I don’t care. And what I actually want when watching the show, is a fat slice of cake.
Well, being a Londoner, there’s PLENTY of that and more! So just in time for the show, here are five comfort food places in London you need to go and check out.
The Milk Train Cafe, Covent Garden

Some genius has come up with the idea of licking soft serve off a bed of candy floss. I mean I genuinely don’t know what could be better in life. So long, Mr. Whippy.
Barge House, Haggerston

Breakfast in bed? Nah, it’s all about that breakfast in BREAD. Served in their bespoke sourdough, try the ‘Smoked Salmon’; Filled with spinach, leeks, smoked salmon, crème fraiche and topped with a free range egg & sprinkled with cheese. YUM.
Nutella Pop-Up, Harvey Nichols

The pop-up you’ve been waiting for your entire life is finally here, and the menu is insane. It includes crepes, parfait, and porridgella; oh yeh, Nutella porridge with banana pieces. It’s not a matter of if you go, it’s a matter of when.
Homeslice, Well’s Street (and other locations)

The bigger the better, especially with pizza, and that’s why Homeslice is a GO GO. Their menu is limited, but don’t let that put you off- the options are fulllllll of flavour. The pizzas are 20″, unless you go by the slice, but don’t be that person. Go big or go home(slice).
Molly Bakes, Dalston

FREAKSHAKE me up baby. This place is the one for THAT milkshake that tops them all. Covered in cookies, cream with sauce dripping down, it’s a dessert like no other.
