Your guide to New Year’s Eve clubbing in Newcastle

All of the best events happening on NYE this year


While I think that we can all agree New Year’s Eve is very over rated, the pressure to do something worthwhile to kick off 2022 has never been higher, especially after last year’s NYE in lockdown.

So, for those of you who are more of a clubber than a house party fan, we’ve rounded up the best club events happening in Newcastle this New Year’s Eve.

The Lofts’ Mini Fest

Newcastle’s three room nightclub, The Lofts, are hosting Mini Fest, playing club classics, house and disco from nine pm until four am. Perfect for those us of who want to boogie into the early hours.

The Holy Hobo’s Denim and Diamonds

Jesmond’s neighbourhood bar The Holy Hobo’s noughties themed NYE party is sure to be a good one. Join them for immaculate vibes, a confetti countdown and ALL the Britney.

TupTup Palace’s NYE

TupTup’s VIP New Year’s Eve parties are well renowned in the Toon. This year’s party is Narnia themed, and clubbers can expect live shows, special guest DJs and more.

Tickets are on final release, costing £20, so you better be quick. They’re available here.

Howler’s Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris is happening across all three super clubs Howlers, Verano and Chacha Buchi. Expect indoor fireworks, Parisian entertainment and confetti for a NYE that’s sure to make you say ooh la la.

Bohemia’s Secret Krush

Bohemia’s boujee weekly event Secret Krush is hosting an NYE party! You can expect everything you’d usually expect from the weekly event and more.

Cirque de Soho

Student clubbing giant Soho’s circus themed party is sure to be a big hit, featuring live circus performers and Soho’s classic tunes.

Utopiar NYE

Utopiar’s NYE theme is intergalactic space rave and will take place across all four rooms of super club Digital.

Green House’s ABBA and friends

Green House’s eight hour ABBA sing-along is sure to get you a man after midnight. Open until four am, they’re also playing classics such as Take That, Queen and Prince.

Platform 47 NYE

Platform 47’s NYE party will take place at Revolution de Cuba, and feature live DJs as well as saxophonists, non stop house music and a beach atmosphere. Plus, they’re having an after-party at The CUT until eight am – what more could you want?

Okana’s White Party

Make sure to dress in white for Okana’s NYE special. They’ll be playing R&B, hip hop, afrobeat and dancehall until two am.

Club Bijoux NYE

Bijoux’s masquerade themed party promises to be a night to remember, with live DJs and dancers.

Skint 90s vs 00s

Fresher’s favourite Skint is providing the perfect night for those of us in our overdraft. With drinks and shots starting at £1, plus £6 turbo buckets, we doubt you’ll even remember ringing in the new year.

Rise

For all you ex emo kids, Rise is hosting a huge NYE celebration at Grey’s Club. Over three rooms, music will include pop-punk, emo, guilty pleasures and alt.
