Michael Rubin eats Petting Zoo Pygmy Goat

“It was tasty”

ULSU Education Officer Michael Rubin says he has “no regrets” after EATING the petting zoo Pygmy goat.

Rubin posted a picture of a goat curry to Facebook suggesting the Petting Zoo Pygmy goat had been killed. It said: “If anyone’s worried about what happened to today’s petting zoo goat, do not fear – he’s gone to a good place” – implying his STOMACH.

Just hours after the successful visit of the Joe McGuire Petting Zoo to campus, which saw a huge number of students take a welcome break from revision, Rubin posted the image.

He said: “The goat was tasty – I have no regrets.”

It’s not the first time that Rubin’s Facebook page has been in the public eye, after he was rated Leicester University’s 17th hottest male on profile rating site Ratemash. He has now been replaced by SU President Dan Flatt, who ranks 40th.

Students tweeted the SU to show their satisfaction at being able to take a break from their revision and chill out.

Flatt and Rubin enjoy the Petting Zoo

Students were able to stroke and hold chickens, ducks, a labrador and the now famous pygmy goat.

Michael Rubin told The Tab: “I wanted to make sure our exams campaign did everything possible to help students during this stressful time and am delighted at how popular the petting zoo was.

I’m definitely going to make sure we repeat it in the summer!”

The event was organised after a former student, Joe McGuire, posted a link to an article written about a Canadian University with a ‘puppy room’. McGuire said that ‘it would have been good to have something similar at Leicester after he had 10 exams in the space of 10 days.

The event was such a success it even featured on the regional six o’clock news.

Michael Rubin did not actually eat the goat, his original post was a joke and the comments he provided The Tab with were an extension of that joke. No goats were harmed during the production of this article.
