Newcastle comes in Top 200 unis worldwide

We beat the Sorbonne in Paris


The QS World Rankings, published today, show Newcastle University has placed 168th in the world, and ranked in the Top 200 global universities.

The ranking was a six place decline on last year’s performance, when Newcastle came 162nd.

Newcastle performed strongly in the ranking categories relating to the University’s attractiveness to international academics and students, receiving 87.9 points out of 100 in that category for academics and a whopping 93.9 out of 100 for international students.

Newcastle’s ranking was part of a strong overall performance for UK universities in the Top 200, with five UK universities making it into the Top 20.
