Sussex begins to move deadlines as a response to the strikes

The strikes have already caused immense disruption to students

| UPDATED

Some students have found that their deadlines have been extended due to the disruption caused by the ongoing strikes. In some cases, deadline dates have been extended by almost a month to account for students needing extra time to learn content that was initially intended to be covered during the strike period.

Whilst many students rejoice at the now amended dates, some still feel that even with the extension, this cannot replace invaluable contact hours.

“Contact hours are invaluable, and simply doing required readings in an extended period of time is not enough to replace what I have missed out on due to the strikes,” Esme, Media and Communications First Year told us.

This may not apply to all schools so we urge that students look at their Sussex emails for any updates and to check Study Direct to see if there have been any changes.
