Pro NUS are asking students to stay by using Grindr

Newcastle and Lincoln have already left

This week Lincoln and Newcastle students voted to leave the NUS, with 67 per cent of students supporting the disaffiliation.

Pro NUS campaigners sent out texts and knocked on Exeter students’ doors trying to convince them to stay.

Leaked texts also reveal paid NUS employees, such as Malia Bouattia and vice-presidents were sent down to Exeter to persuade students to stay in the organisation.

Now, Guido Fawkes reported the Stay campaign have been using dating app Grindr to “push smears against Leave (branded ‘Exiter’).”

The text sent out to 3,000 Exeter students

The NUS has a strict £60 budget for Exeter, and bringing in outside campaigners is bending the rules for their benefit.
