5 days of Festivals set to hit Newcastle
Newcastle Students plan summer’s biggest festivals for Freshers 2014
Abbie HigginsA group of students campaigning to be the Freshers Week Organisers of 2014 pledge to recreate Ibiza Rocks, Glastonbury, Spring break, Rio Carnival and The Festival of Colour in Newcastle.

Forget cold nights and windy weather as you will be transported to nights in Ibiza, Brazil and the USA.
The team, Freshly Squeezed, promise in their manifesto that students will ‘Live the world by day’ and ‘Love the world by night’.
If chosen they will plan the worlds best festivals in the Toon.
They also offer several alternative ‘world Festivals’, including a Hideout silent disco, Oktoberfest, a British street party and the “Newcastle” Fringe fest comedy night.
