Omg, Papa Johns is coming to Lancaster City Centre!

And it’s opening under new student flats

The American pizza chain Papa John's is coming to Lancaster, it has been announced.

A Papa John's store will be opening within The Gillows building in the city centre which has recently been turned into student accommodation.

CityBlock's new accommodation was formerly the Gillows Furniture Showroom and is a Grade II listed building.

Despite concerns about noise complaints, the plan to turn the former nightclub into student accommodation went ahead and the company will welcome new students into some of its ninety six en-suite rooms in September.

The pizza chain will be opening on the commercial ground floor, which means students living in those halls will literally be living above a pizza place. If this isn't living the dream, I don't know what is.

The CEO of Cityblock, Trevor Bargh has said: “As we near completion of Gillows we can confirm that we have let the ground floor commercial unit to Papa John’s Pizza, which will open in the coming weeks."

The popular takeaway and delivery franchise is set to open in the next few weeks, hopefully in time for Freshers week.
