Cardiff in top 10 UK universities for failing to resolve student problems

Almost 5% of complaints go unanswered by the university


According to The Complete University Guide, both Cardiff University and Cardiff Met have been placed in the top 10 UK universities for failing to resolve student problems.

Cardiff University placed eighth in the table, whilst Cardiff Met came even higher at second place.

The data was found by analysing the number of Completion of Procedures Letters dispatched in response to complaints from 2012-2014. It showed that Cardiff failed to respond to 45.2 complaints per 1000, averaging out to a little under 5% of total complaints submitted.

Cardiff Met failed to resolve 64.7 complaints per 1000, averaging to 6% of complaints submitted.

Other UK universities who came in the top 10 are as follows: London Metropolitan (84.5), Liverpool (57.2), London South Bank (56.3), Leicester (52.3), Newcastle (50.8), Glyndwr (46.7), Aston (44.7) and Surrey (43.3).
