Charl joined The Cardiff Tab in late 2019 during her first year at university as a student writer. She was its News Editor from 2022 to 2024, and became Assistant Editor at The Tab (UK) in September 2024. She also has experience working at Global and BBC News, with by lines on the BBC Wales and Wales Online websites.

Education

Charl completed a MA Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University (CJS). She also has an undergraduate degree in BA Spanish and Politics from Cardiff University. During her first degree, she lived for a year in Barcelona where she studied Spanish language and literature.
