People are slamming Georgia Toffolo for her ‘tone deaf’ wedding advice
Yes, because we can all just go and have a free wedding meal at our husband’s restaurant
We all know Georgia Toffolo, she’s a Made in Chelsea alum, super rich, and now married to BrewDog founder, James Watt.
However, one thing she isn’t known for is giving wedding advice. But this hasn’t stopped her as Georgia, better know as Toff, shared her seven best tips for hosting a wedding with fans.
Innocent, right? Well, it hasn’t gone down well with social media users who have labelled her advice as “tone deaf”.
Local business owners aren’t happy as they believe the advice is “devaluing” them, as she called their services “overpriced” and “overrated”.
So, what advice did she give?

Yesterday (24th July) Georgia Toffolo decided to give some tips on social media for having a wedding.
She starts off with points many agreed with, such as keeping your last name, inviting children, and not having loads of random family members there.
However, some of her other points ruffled a few feathers, and this was because people felt she “dragged” local business owners.
In her post, Toff told her followers that “wedding cakes are a complete waste of money”, which not only angered soon-to-be married people, but also local businesses.
Toff then effectively told her followers to sack off getting a proper bouquet, and just grab some £2 flowers from your vase at home. This is when she called flowers “overpriced and overrated”, something else that small business owners weren’t thrilled to read.
Finally, the cherry on top for her followers was when she said to ditch three course meals. She said, instead, that she went to her new husband’s restaurant.
Unsurprisingly, the post’s viewers called this “disingenuous”, as the average person doesn’t have the ability to do this.
People believe she is ‘devaluing’ female-led local businesses

Naturally, Instagram users had a lot to say about Toff’s advice, with the main issue being that she is supposedly “devaluing” female-led businesses.
As noted in the comments, florists and cake shops are often run by women who earn their main income through their services. Therefore, when Toff called them “overpriced and overrated”, they were upset.
One social media user, Laura, wrote: “With all of your money it would have been nice to support some wedding suppliers in your local area, instead of just burgers from Brewdog and £2 Daffodils from Tesco.”
Business owner, Anna, also commented, saying: “Pretty disgusted that you’ve used your platform and following to de-value two, primarily female-run, small businesses whilst gazing at your £400k engagement ring no doubt.
“Florists and cake makers have the highest expenses in the wedding industry and I’d challenge you to find a rich one!”
However, others accused Toff, who is on The Sunday Times Rich List, of “cosplaying” as an average person.
“Cosplaying working class for you’re wedding,” one woman wrote, with another user, Sarah, adding: “But the £400k engagement ring [is] more than most people’s home was a necessity? This just screams: ‘Let’s cosplay normal life.'”
However, some users felt Toff gave really sound advice
Whilst many disagreed with Georgia Toffolo’s wedding ideas on Instagram, a number of Facebook users adored them.
One user, Lorna, wrote: “I could have written this,” with another person adding: “I absolutely could not love this more!”
