Georgia Toffolo and James Watt’s snobbiest comments, ranked by insufferableness

Someone deactivate their LinkedIns and do the world a favour

Georgia Toffolo and James Watt (aka the BrewDog dude) might be the most irritating couple in the UK. Every time they try to be #normal and #relatable, they expose just how out of touch they are. Georgia Toffolo and James Watt are clearly perfect for each other, because who else would tolerate them? Here are all Georgia Toffolo and James Watt’s most obnoxious and delelu comments, ranked by how annoying they are.

5. Everything Georgia said while working in a KFC

One upon a time, Georgia Toffolo did some form of work. This Morning showed her trying out a job in a KFC in Glasgow.

Yup, this is real

Literally everything she said was… interesting. When she was sent to the chicken shop, she said: “I’ve literally just got rid of my spots now I’m going to go work in a greasy chicken shop.” After cooking some chicken and standing behind a till, she complained, “I thought this would be so much fun but it’s so stressful. I am exhausted. My arms are tired, my brain is tired. I must say it’s quite hot and sweaty back here.”

She also seemed very stressed about her hair. She asked the manager: “Does it take you long to get the smell of the cooking and the oil out of your clothes and your hair because I am going out this evening so I’m a bit conscious?”

4. James Watt announced his engagement to Georgia Toffolo in LinkedInese

He used a whole load of insufferable business student, corporate dad type LinkedIn jargon to share the news. Really.

The engagement announcement on LinkedIn read: “She said yes! Georgia Toffolo and I did a very cool deal at the end of last week. It is a very long term, contractual arrangement which looks poised for future growth (business and personal). Lots of mutual investment into this one.”

Ew.

3. The whole relationship review

Erm, apparently they do regular performance reviews of their relationship. As one does. Georgia said: “People might think it’s a bit weird but we think it’s really normal.”

Yup, you said it.

2. Everything we know about James Watt and Georgia Toffolo’s wedding (against our wills)

I guess James and Toff overshared about their wedding to seem more normal and less delulu. But some of their comments about how normal their wedding was just make them seem even more abnormal.

James wrote on Instagram: “It wasn’t a big, dramatic wedding — we’re both very socially awkward and don’t like big crowds — so it was small, personal, and perfectly us.” He added, “I worked the morning of the wedding (classic).” Wow, way to get into the romantic mindset. Apparently the wedding party was at BrewDog HQ. Because it’s just so normal to use the offices of the giant company you founded for your wedding reception. He also wrote, “My wedding ring is actually my fitness tracking Oura ring. Georgia’s wedding ring was decidedly less techy.” Well that’s definitely… unique.

1. All the dreadful work-life balance quotes

In January, James posted on Instagram (and quickly deleted) a rather hot take on work-life balance. He wrote: “I think the whole concept of work-life balance was invented by people who hate the work that they do. If you love what you do, you don’t need work-life balance, you need work-life integration.”

Hmmm. I think the whole concept of “work-life integration” was invented by millionaires and nepo babies who can do whatever they like all day. I reckon James would be less keen to integrate his work into his life if he was an unfairly underpaid cleaner or hospitality worker or something.

In a similar vein, he wrote on his LinkedIn: “I don’t believe in work-life balance. Neither does my fiancé, Georgia Toffolo. We believe in work-life integration. Because when you find work that brings you meaning, you don’t want to stop. And I am so lucky I have found someone who feels the same ❤️.”

Yup, that sounds healthy. Also totally achievable for people who don’t have a legion of staff to cook and clean for them so they can spent every minute of the day writing rubbish on LinkedIn instead.
