Made in Chelsea’s Georgia Toffolo and BrewDog founder James Watt shocked everyone by getting married in a low-key wedding ceremony in a small coastal town in Northeast Scotland last month. The couple’s wedding was a complete departure from what you’d expect of a millionaire pairing—no grand venues, no over-the-top celebrations, just an intimate affair.

Guests had just 48 hours’ notice

As if eloping wasn’t unconventional enough, James and Georgia made sure their friends and family had little time to prepare. Guests received just 48 hours’ notice to attend the ceremony. Yep, just two days to get there, if they could! I mean, even if we rule out travel, no one could have picked out an outfit, gift and accommodation that fast.

It happened in the church where James’ grandparents married

The ceremony took place in a historic church overlooking stunning sea views, where James’ grandparents had also tied the knot. A picturesque and personal location that added a special touch to the occasion.

No bridesmaids, no fanfare, just vibes

True to form, there were no bridesmaids or extravagant displays. Georgia wore a simple cream fleece dress, pairing it with chunky boots; a nod to the chilly Scottish weather and practical considerations. James, meanwhile, opted for a cream beanie and fishing overalls.

Forget the traditional wedding albums. The couple shared the most iconic moments on Instagram, including shots from a spontaneous photoshoot on a fishing boat right after they said “I do.” They also snapped some of their wedding portraits outside James’ gran’s house. Cute!
