‘This is not easy to do’: Love Is Blind’s Colleen and Matt announce their divorce
The couple have been together for nearly four years
Iconic Love Is Blind couple Colleen Reed and Matt Bolton have announced they’ll be divorcing.
The duo met in 2021 on the show’s third season, famously deciding not to move in together until two years after the wedding.
In the past few months, rumours have been swirling about a potential divorce after Colleen was seen without her ring. The couple also stopped posted pictures with each other and did not mention their marriage or spouse in any Instagram posts.
In an US Weekly interview, Colleen spoke openly about the “many challenges” in her marriage, leaving many to speculate for months that there may be a split on the horizon.
Taking to Instagram to announce their divorce, the couple said: “Hi everyone, we wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we’ve decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths.
“We’ve been separated for some time now and have been doing our best to work through everything privately and with care. This was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it’s been an emotional process for both of us.”
They continued by saying that they’ll always be grateful for “the love and memories we shared”, adding that there isn’t “one thing we would change”.
Social media users have been on a posting frenzy since the news, with one saying: “So sad to see Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed from Love is Blind getting separated. Always had an intuition about Colleen’s awkwardness and uncomfortable behaviour around Matt, had a feeling it wouldn’t last very long.”
