Influencer dragged for calling Manchester Oasis gig ‘filthiest’ concert she’s ever been to

She referred to fellow concert-goers as ‘riff raff’

An influencer has been slammed for saying Oasis’ recent Manchester gig was the “filthiest” concert she’d ever attended.

TikToker Alexis Nido-Russo took to social media to criticise the iconic band’s concert after she went to see the Gallaghers at Heaton Park.

During the travel influencer’s video, she told her 244,000 followers that she thought the event was full of “riff raff” and that it was “the filthiest concert I’ve ever been to”.

Alexis also complained about the lack of bins and the supposed inebriation of the crowd.

“It was also the filthiest concert I’ve ever been to,” she said. “After I had a drink I was looking for a trash can to throw it into because I didn’t want to be like the riff raff that was just throwing everything on the floor.”

Continuing with her video, which now has over 100,000 views, Alexis added: “I’ve never seen a dirtier place, I looked for a trash can, I couldn’t find one.

“Eventually I did find a cluster of four trash cans. There were 80,000 people at this concert, I only saw a cluster of four trash cans the entire time I was there.”

She also compared concertgoers to “wild animals”, writing in her caption: “I also got blasted by a drink because the lads were losing their minds and launching drinks into the air like wild animals.”

However, a number of commenters responded negatively to Alexis’ video.

One TikTok user explained to Alexis, who’s American, that British events often have a scarcity of bins due to safety.

“Bins are avoided because of what happened at the Ariana concert, they’re deemed as safety risks. There are volunteers who pick up all the rubbish after the concerts,” they wrote.

Another commenter who also spoke out against Alexis’ video, denied that people were launching drinks, writing: “Hate to tell you this but it wasn’t drinks being launched in the air.”

But it wasn’t just the alleged drink throwing and supposed “filth” that riled up Alexis, as she also took offence to the drinking at the venue.

As many know, drinking alcohol in social situations is a cornerstone of British culture, and that’s no different at Oasis concerts but that didn’t matter to Alexis, who said: “I have never seen a more concentrated group of drunkenness.”

She then suggested that there’s “nothing to do” in Manchester except go to the pub, something which has been pointed out as untrue as she was literally at a concert, not the pub.

This riled up one commenter who wrote: “Seriously? Manchester is full of culture. I can list at least five museums off the top of my head. The People’s History Museum is incredible!”.

Despite her complaints, Alexis did shout out Mancunians, saying: “Overall my review of Manchester was, the people, incredible, I love the people of Manchester. You can’t find a friendlier bunch of people, probably because they’re all drunk. Regardless, they were so nice.”

However, she has said she won’t be coming back to the city.
