White dominates the high street along with the snow.
White has been deemed an essential colour for 2013, and as the weather dictates perhaps we should embrace it now. With a refreshing start to the New Year, why not purify and detox your wardrobe with calm and sophisticated whites/off-whites.
Although achieving a simplified look with white may sound easy to do, the art of intricacy arises when different textures are explored. And indeed, the Cambridge high street has a great variety to choose from. Winter whites can be found adorned with athletic mesh-like materials, or in plain, classic cotton cuts, in delicate lace or even embellished with elaborate Baroque-like metallic patterns. Although seemingly plain at first, white seems to have become more and more intricate in the fashion world, but this also lends itself to many more possibilities in terms of different looks. Whether your skin tone is pale or dark, this colour will ensure a clean and cutting edge look: simple and sophisticated.
