No running cold water for Leazes students
Some showers don’t even work
Hamish AuskerryResidents of Castle Leazes have this morning been informed that the maintenance team has had to “cut down” the cold water supply until further notice.
The problem was caused by an undisclosed “setback” with construction work at Leazes.
As a result, showers are not functioning in some blocks and toilets are not flushing.
In an email sent to all Leazes students at 10:48am today, a Castle Leazes spokesperson said:
“Due to an unforeseen setback at the construction site, the maintenance team has had to cut down the cold water until further notice.
“Once the problem has been solved, the cold water will be turned on again of which you will be notified. You can still use hot water.”
