Trent is the Modern University of the Year according to the Times Good University Guide 2018

Always a step ahead of the game

This year Trent has been named the Modern University of the Year according to the Times Good University Guide 2018.

In the new tables, seen first by the Tab, we have also reached our highest ever position in the rankings coming in at joint 47th- a whole ten places higher than in 2017 and the first time we have entered the top 50 universities in the UK. Looks like celebration is in order.

Showing we’re at the best uni going, student satisfaction levels are at an all time high, above that of Uni of, proving once and for all that our nights out are better. Old news really.

Witness the calm before the storm ☺️ we can't wait for Newton to be bustling with all our new & returning students! ??‍???

Student satisfaction is also high regarding teaching. As published by the Times, the National Student Survey showed that we are ranked eighth nationally and the highest in the region for student satisfaction with teaching. Trent also received a gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework which takes into account graduate prospects, student satisfaction and degree completion rates. With student satisfaction and teaching rankings being high, the Trent experience is the one you want.

Trent’s move into the top 50 reflects its improvement in six different key performance areas and it is thriving with the introduction of several new degrees this year including biomedical sciences and sport engineering.
