Newcastle Rowers bare all for their 2018 naked calendar
A whole lotta bums
Newcastle rowers have got saucy and posed for another nude calendar. In 2016 their calendar, for Brocklehurst Neurosurgical Fund, sold out and caused quite a stir.
This year the Boat Club are raising money for mental health charity, Mind.
There are male and female calendars on sale, which can be bought here for £10.
Alex Turner the Boat Club president told The Tab: "The calendar is a fantastic way to fundraise for the club and raise awareness for our charity. It really unites everyone and breaks down any barriers that might exist at the beginning of the new year.
"Our charity this year is Mind, the mental health charity. They do great work in the North East and mental health is an aspect of both sporting and university life that deserves more recognition, something we are keen to play a major part in."
Do you want a preview? Of course you bloody do and we don't blame you. Here are some promotional shots.
Mind helps and empowers those with mental health problems. The charity also campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
The Boat Club write on their website: "With approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem each year, NUBC has chosen to support Mind and its outstanding work in supporting those with mental health problems."
Other university Boat Clubs around the country take photos for a naked calendar. Warwick University Boat Club and Leeds Boat Club published their 2018 naked calendar earlier this month.
In the Boat Race of the North last year Newcastle University Boat Club emerged victorious over Durham University with a 5-1 victory. This was the third year running Newcastle came out on top and it was their fifth win since it started in 1997.
NUBC teamed up with professional photographers at Tufnell Photography (on Instagram @benedict_tufnell) to produce the calendars.
The calendars can be purchased here.
