Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland is finally here; here’s what you need to know about it. As well as having the classic fun fair rides such as the Ferris wheel, the waltzers and the fun house, it also has many different food stalls to try like the iconic Après Ski Bar, and The Fudge Bus Company. With it being just down the road from the SU, there’s no excuse for you not to go to it. Since it all packs up on January 8th, you’ve still got time to go visit and make the most of it.

When walking down Park Place it’s hard to miss this attraction, especially at night when it’s lit up. This is a definite must for getting the best view of Cardiff when you’re at the top. You could even relive your very own Notebook moment imagining Ryan Gosling is with you. It can be a spontaneous trip as there’s no need to pre-book, you can get your tokens at the kiosk for £6.

The Christmas Food Stands

This Winter Wonderland includes a variety of hot food and drinks for you, as well as its very own Après Ski Bar, Alpine Grill House, and even an Ice Bar. The food stands could not get more Christmassy with the fairy lights around the picnic tables, large candy cane decorations, and the essential Christmas music to top it all off. You’re spoilt for choice as their selection of hot food is endless ranging from burgers to roast dinner wraps but if you are looking for something sweet, you have the delicious Fudge Bus Company and hot chocolate stalls on offer.

If you’re not a fan of fair rides, there are still options for you. You’ve got the chance to win your own stuffed teddy by playing lots of different games, such as throwing the ring on the bottle and trying to get the ball in the hoop. These stands are right by the entrance so are hard to miss and they definitely make you want to have a go.

However, if you are someone who looks for adrenaline, you’ll love some of these rides. If you’re feeling brave and adventurous, why don’t you have a go at the Snow Slide or the Ice Skater which are great ones to do with your friends if you want to have some fun.
