Snow forecast for Cardiff this weekend

It’s getting chilly out there

Snow and freezing temperatures are forecast to come to Wales this weekend.

Cardiff’s temperature on Saturday is set to fall to a chilly two degrees, and an even lower one degree on Sunday, with  maximum temperatures reaching six celsius.

Yellow weather warnings have been issued right across Wales.

BBC Wales weatherman, Owain Wyn Evans, said: “We may even see a dusting of snow. Saturday daytime temperatures may not get any higher than six degrees, you’re really going to feel the chill.”

It might just be a little too warm for it to settle, but we may see some night frosts and little sugar dusting of snow scattering the Cathays paths Saturday morning.

Accompanying the wake of Storm Barney, gale force winds of up to 70mph and a band of rain and snow is expected to travel south across the UK.

So, perhaps take a coat with you to Flux this weekend.
