Headington McDonald’s is now offering table service

Order the Big Mac and feel like the Mac daddy

An Oxfordshire McDonald’s is now offering table service to its customers in Headington.

In an attempt to switch up their marketing and customer service campaigns, McDonald’s in some parts of Oxford can now enjoy being waited on at their table.

Customers will use touch screen stations to order their meal, pay and then sit at a designated table while the food is brought to them, a change after 42 years of students having to make the hike from counter to table.

Save those all important calories by cutting down on your walking!

Ismail Anilmis, who owns and operate the Didcot branch, told the Oxford Mail: “The changes have taken our customer service to the next level.”

The changes were apparently highly requested, with Mr. Anilmis saying: “We know that for parents, for example, it can sometimes be a stressful experience ordering at the till and carrying food while keeping an eye on children, so table service enables customers to order at the self-order kiosk and then sit down at a designated zone to be served their food”

The screens also allow people to check dietary information about their food. The service is coming to 400 UK based McDonalds, with the McDonalds in Headington also receiving the touch screen treatment.

It is unknown if or when the service is coming to the McDonalds on the high street.
