Freed house elf retires to five-star Aberdeen hotel
Life-sized model of Dobby to reside in the Marcliffe Hotel.
The TabFrom Prince Charles to Rod Stewart, Aberdeen’s exclusive Marcliffe Hotel has hosted an array of celebrities in the past. Last year the resort hosted J K Rowling for several months (we missed a trick there) and it seems that the writer was so taken by her stay in Aberdeen that she gifted an unusual piece of memorabilia to the hotel.
A life size model of Dobby the loveable House Elf which was used in the 8-part film series recently arrived at the hotel as a form of thanks for the warm hospitality. Owner Stewart Spence claims the letter and package came “out of the blue” however the kindly elf has been warmly welcomed and is on display in a glass case.
Finally we can rest assured that Dobby can live his remaining years in luxurious surroundings as a content free elf.
Everybody loves a happy ending.
