Confirmed: Bristol Full of Poshos

Bristol Uni has 3 times as many privately educated students as UWE.

More than 1/3 of Bristol Uni students were born with a silver spoon in their mouths, in stark contrast to the working class heroes that make up UWE’s student body.

2.5% of UWE students were receiving free school meals during their secondary education unlike Bristol where less than 1% of students were the recipients of free nosh.

The study that produced these figures, conducted by the Sutton Trust, also showed perennial poshos Oxford and Cambridge at the top of the table with over 40% of students having paid for their education.

UWE may be only the 28th poshest uni in the country but at least we’re classier than Leicester, Surrey and Bournemouth.

Wolverhampton came bottom of the table with a mere 1% of their students attending fee-paying schools courtesy of Mummy and Daddy.

Take heart students of UWE, all the cash our parents saved should at least pay for the buses we’re stuck with while the Brizzers are swanning around in their Bentleys.
