Adam Tickell steps down as University of Sussex Vice-Chancellor

He’s been appointed as the new vice chancellor of the University of Birmingham


An email sent out this morning by Dame Denise Hold, Chair of the Council revealed that Adam Tickell will be stepping down from his role as vice chancellor this year and will be taking on a new role as vice chancellor at the University of Birmingham.

Adam tickell left the University of Brimingham in 2016 to join Sussex and will now take up his new position in January 2022, according to a news article released on the student’s union website.

The chair of the council has said ”I am already making plans to carry out an exhaustive search for Adam’s replacement. We are really keen to engage with the whole University community to understand what you would like from your next Vice-Chancellor” and have assured that they will be back in touch soon.

The university have also released a statement on their twitter.
