It’s finger lickin’ good news: KFC in Brighton set to reopen this week

Brighton’s KFC on Western Road is amongst many branches to reopen during coronavirus

KFC is set to reopen one of its branches in Brighton this week.

Following the government’s lockdown measures announced March 23rd, KFC was one of many stores to temporarily close down.

The restaurant stated that the closure would be “until further notice” in order to “protect the wellbeing and safety” of its customers and staff.

The fast food chain revealed recently that as a part of an initial phase, eleven branches would reopen with a “limited menu” available only by delivery.

A spokesperson for KFC explained in a statement about reopening that the limited menu “means we can have a smaller kitchen team to maintain social distancing.” They emphasised the priority of the safety of our key workers, stating that their staff could return to work “on an opt-in basis.”

The company has also shown its love and support to key workers by donating “over 5,000 meals to them in partnership with Deliveroo.”
