There’s a vigil being held at Monument in honour of the Manchester terror attack

There is a vigil being held at Monument at 6pm to honour those injured and killed in last nights Manchester terror attack.

It is expected to last for at least two hours, as a tribute to those affected by the bombing at the Ariana Grande concert and has been organised by Newcastle’s Labour Councillor Dipu Ahad.

There will also be a special service at the St Nicholas’s Cathedral at 5.30pm today. 22 people have died from the attack with up to 59 injured from the suicide bomb.

Greater Manchester Police said: “An emergency number is available for those who are concerned about loved ones or anyone who may have been in the area.”
