Sam Jacks forced to close after ‘ceiling caves in’

But last night Sam Jacks was forced to close due to a major “operational issue”, with rumours on social media claiming the ceiling had fallen in.
Damian Conway, who manages the bar, told The Tab that despite issues at the bar on Thursday Sam Jacks “would definitely be open tonight”.

Members of the Humanities and Social Science school that had rented out the bar on Thursday evening had to be redirected to another local bar because of the closure.
Harry, first year, studying Economics and Maths, was on the HaSS event and told The Tab: “We usually start our nights at Sam Jacks, so we were gutted when we found out it was closed”.
Famous for its dentist chair and rodeo bull, Sam Jacks opens every day.
Loved by students across the North East, Sam Jacks will be open for business, once again, this evening.
