Return of the cheese: Red Leicester is BACK
Well, for one night only
Leicester students were devastated last year to find that the ten year institution Red Leicester was no more.
The cheesy club night was feared outdated and replaced with the underwhelmingly titled LETSDISKO.
But now Red Leicester is returning. For one night only next term, specifically. A Facebook event has already been set up in anticipation of “The Re-union” on 20th June 2015.
The event, open to both current students and Leicester alumni, boasts:
“Red Leicester was an institution in Leicester University night-life for 10 years, from 2004-2014.
“And for one night only we are giving everyone who was part of those glorious 10 years the chance to come to your beloved Students’ Union for Red Leicester THE RE-UNION.”
History student Danielle Grainger says: “It would be fantastic to revisit Red Leicester, it was always my favourite out of all the Rockstar organised events.”
Whether the revival will live up to the original’s cheesy glory remains to be seen.
