Lancaster Police Neighbourhood team to patrol city centre
The team will be out this weekend
Lancaster Area Police have announced via Facebook that they will be sending a Neighbourhood team out to monitor public behaviour.
This comes in response to reports of “anti social behaviour in the City Centre”.
The Police said that the team will be employing a variety of tactics to tackle this behaviour.
According to their post on Facebook, “local residents and the business community” have reported various accounts of anti social behaviour within the city, which the Neighbourhood team will be acting to diffuse.
The team will be operating in various ways, including plain clothes officers paroling the streets.
The post also states that parents and guardians will be contacted if their child is causing an issue, and they will be required to come and collect them.
The Lancaster Area Police have not yet stated whether this will only be occurring this weekend, or will instead be a recurring tactic.
