Picket lines cancelled Wednesday and Thursday due to weather
‘We’ll come back even stronger on Friday!’
Issy BarkerLancs Students Support Strikes announced that the UCU physical picket lines are cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday this week due to poor weather conditions.
In a Tweet from their Twitter, the group shared a link to the daily online teach-ins and confirmed that the strike will still continue.

The strikes, which are taking place 14 to 18 Feb, 21 & 22 Feb, 28 Feb, and 1 & 2 March, have received widespread support from staff and students alike, with a large turnout at picket lines over the first two days.
“It’s a shame that the picket lines are cancelled because they’re a vital part of the strikes,” said one anonymous student. “However, hopefully it means that there’ll be an even larger turnout on Friday.”
Physical picket lines are forecast to return on Friday February 18. For updates on the situation, check @lancsolidarity on Twitter.
