Here’s all the best places to get cocktails in Cardiff that you won’t want to miss

Emily WilliamsIf you’re planning a cocktail crawl with your friends in the dreary winter nights, these are some of the spots you will want to include.
Slug and Lettuce
Starting out with the Slug and Lettuce, they have a 2-for-1 deal. You must order the same cocktail twice but this is perfect in a group where you can switch drinks, or if you really like Long Island ice teas.
They have a wide variety of cocktails including some fun concepts like Cherry Bakewell, and Raving Rainbow Vibes which are both colourful and delicious.
Be At One
During their Happy Hour, all cocktails are 2 for 1. The times are different each day so make sure you factor this into your night to get the deals.
- Monday-Thursday: 4pm until 6pm
- Friday: 3pm until 6pm
- Saturday: 1pm until 6pm
- Sunday: 1pm until 6pm
Prices for cocktails are around £10 per cocktail but have a fabulous range of over 100 cocktails.
The Alchemist
If you’re looking for somewhere with unique and exciting cocktails, perhaps for an occasion, this is your place.
While they are on the pricey side, The Alchemist Cardiff offers an ‘Alchemy Cocktail Brunch’ on Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 2 pm. This includes a brunch dish and three cocktails for £28.
The deal includes their famous colour-changing and smoking cocktails, definitely worth a visit.
Revolucion de Cuba
Another great spot for happy hour cocktails, and often great live music. Happy hour is Monday – Friday 3-8 pm.
They also offer cocktail-making masterclasses and bottomless brunches.
Las Iguanas
No need to worry about Happy Hours with this one, enjoy 2-for-1 cocktails all the time. Cocktails cost from £5 upwards meaning you could be drinking two for £5 if you choose your cocktails right. Sounds like a great deal to me.
They also offer 35 per cent off food Sunday-Thursday, plus a free cocktail through UNiDAYS.
Cardiff Cocktail Society
If you’re a cocktail lover you may also want to consider joining the society at Cardiff University (Instagram: @cucocktailsoc)
Their recent events include a pizza and cocktail night at the Philharmonic, and a cocktail-making masterclass at Dirty Martini Cardiff.
The society is new as of 2022 and is a great way to meet others who also love a good cocktail.
