The new Express Pizza is the best thing on Cowley Road

Forget KFC and McDonalds, we’re all about local Cowley fast food where cheesy chips and cans of lilt are in abundance.

As part of Express Pizza’s mid-January makeover, the takeaway shop moved to a spacier premises with tables, chairs and bar stools.

Now, we can stuff our faces in the shop rather than stumbling home with an embarrassingly large pizza box.

Place to be on Cowley Rd

Not only do they have a place to sit, but a totally new menu. The fancier restaurant sells gourmet coffee and chocolate cake which surely can’t be a bad thing. The pizzas are still pretty much the same: greasy, shareable and still good the morning after.

The staff have a new, smarter uniform but have complained wearing white shirts in a pizza shop are a recipe for disaster.

Bodrom and Kebab Kid are open later, into the early ours of the morning but do they have a fountain? No. Express Pizza has a fountain, and plants and a flashy new sign outside.
