Brookes inside the world’s 400 best unis
World uni rankings place Brookes 374th
Rosie PatersonOxford Brookes is the 374th best uni in the world – up 26 places from last year – according to new world rankings.
The QS World University Rankings 2013/2014 place us just behind Birkbeck College, London and ahead of Jagiellonian University in Poland.
The list of over 700 universities around the globe was topped by Massachusetts Institute of Technology closely followed by Harvard in second place and Cambridge in third.
Our neighbours at Oxford University could only scrape into sixth place, losing once again to their rivals in Cambridge.
Whilst 374th may not sound wildly impressive, the website did mention that Brookes’ ‘popularity increased with students year on year’ and that it was one of the ‘top UK universities for graduate employability.’
