They might be just next door, but RGU is competing strongly against Aberdeen for the best dressed students with these fashion management first years.

Rebecca

Rebecca has styled a Topshop floral dress with a French Connection leather jacket, along with H&M boots and her trusty Mulberry bag.

Raegan

Raegan wears a Topshop collarless coat and roll-neck jumper with River Island leather trousers and Office ankle boots.

Louisa

Louisa wears an autumnal Misguided coat, a jumper dress from Forever 21 and Topshop boots with a Celine bag.

Gerda

Gerda looks smart by wearing New look boots to match her H&M coat. The bag is Parfois.

AU Competitors:

But AU puts up a strong fight with these guys.

Rebecca Adams, 1st Year Primary Education

“I dress really impractically, these shoes are so uncomfortable.”

Rebecca likes to stay on trend with her high street fashion. Shopping in Topshop, River Island and Asos, she opts for ‘smart-casual’ on a daily basis. Putting aesthetics before comfort, Rebecca is inspired by many of the popular fashion bloggers on Youtube.

Sara Fiedler, 1st Year Conservation Biology

“I got this shirt from my grandmother”

The modest Sara definitely stands out on campus with her alternative style. Describing her fashion sense as “ecological”, much of her clothing comes from family members or secondhand shops around the world.

Alex Greenwood, 4th Year English

“I just sort of throw things together”

Next up is Alex who describes his style as a “Pic ‘n Mix”. He has his girlfriend to thank for many of his wardrobe choices and draws hairspiration from The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers. Alex shops in both high street and secondhand stores to complete his look.

Irinja Vahakangas, 4th Year Anthropology & IR

“I usually take a lot of stuff from my mum’s closet”

Irinja puts comfort and layers at the top of her list. Thrift store and flee market finds are what make up her edgy look as she loves a good bargain.

Amy MacDonald, 2nd Year Politics & IR

“I’ve got a whole wardrobe dedicated to skirts”

Amy described her fashion sense as “preppy chic”, a lover of all things girly. Inspired by the iconic style of Gossip Girl character Blair Waldorf, Amy likes to shop at Topshop and Urban Outfitters to complete her look. Her 60s influenced outfit is super cute and very autumnal.
