On 12th to 13th October, Oktoberfest returns to the Level for it's third year. Why pay for a flight to Germany when Germany can come to you?

The event starts at 6pm on Friday. Despite many residents' noise complaints last year, the festival will still be held at the Level with promoter, Ian Baird taking extra precautions to ensure there are less complaints than last year.

Rock 'n' Roll band, Oompah Brass will be making an appearance, the band began as a traditional Bavarian Oompah band but have since branched out to include pop influences like Queen and Bon Jovi.

As well as quality Bavarian tunes, there will be stalls selling German food and drink like bier, bratwursts, pretzels and lebkuchenherz. This will all be taking place in one of the largest Bier tents in Europe.

In previous years people have dressed up in lederhosen and dirndl; so feel free to embrace the German culture and get involved.
