Where to eat out in Glasgow

It’s time to move to Bath St

Glasgow has much to offer as a town – its restaurants, bars and pubs are available literally on every corner.

Here are some of the best places to eat this summer:

The Social

A restaurant in the daytime, cocktail bar in the evenings. Just behind the GoMA. You can get whatever you want: from sandwiches to three course meal. On Monday and Thursday, from 12-5pm you can get pizza and pasta dishes for half price.

Saint Judes

A stylish bar close to Sauchiehall Street with separate menu for students with meals for a fiver. Different mixers with gin, rum and vodka for only £2 make it a party destination for you and your pals. Cheap booze with a fatty food is what we all need.

Slouch

The place definitively has its own spirit you can feel once you enter the place. The atmosphere is very nice.

Bread Meats Bread

Probably one of the best burgers in town. Always busy, a bit expensive but definitively worth spending money on. A burger with American cheese, BBQ beef brisket, crispy fried onions, spicy beefy mayo and pickles for £9, is perfectly made and will totally fill you up.

Viva Brazil

The restaurant on Bothwell Street with succulent, grilled steaks cut in front of you. Once you sign up for membership you’ll get a free bottle of wine too. It’s just perfect for meat lovers.

Walkabout

Have you ever tried Aussie kangaroo burger? In this Australian chain bar you can try awesome Aussie food and drinks. Convenient to go after the screening at the cinema as it’s just around the corner.

The Hug and Pint

Vegans only. No animals allowed on a plate. The restaurant in West End offers a variety of vegetables and fruits inspired by Asian cuisine. There’s no actual menu as the food changes all the time in order to keep it as fresh as possible.

Kimble’s Cafe

Cafe, Deli and Chocolate Shop in Buchanan Galleries for those who don’t really care about calories. Apart from its original delicious Belgian chocolates, Kimble’s offers a massive variety of sandwiches. You’re sure to find something of interest to you.
