Following the success of Common People festival in May, organisers have confirmed that it will return next year.
Around 35,000 people attended the event, headlined by Fat Boy Slim and Grace Jones.
The festival also raised about £1 million for the local economy, making it a success all round.
Rob da Bank, who also helps organise Bestival on the Isle of Wight, said:
It was a great success from all sides. The sun was shining, the common looked great and Southampton didn’t grind to a halt or end up in disarray!
He also confirmed that it would happen on the same Bank Holiday weekend:
It will be back the same weekend with the same idea. We are not planning to expand wildly.
The policy of using local acts and businesses at the Festival will also continue.
