Police evacuated the library at around 6.45pm after an alleged bomb threat. Third year geography student, Hannah Picknett was working in the library and said:
Three policemen came up to me and asked me to save my work and leave. They said they have received information that means the library had to be evacuated.
One source has claimed that police have searched the building with dogs. It was later found that the threat was a hoax.
