Today marks a new day for student diets everywhere! The Bridge Bar has started serving roast dinners which your mother would be proud of, so there is now no excuse to not be getting at least one portion of veg a week.
From 12 – 4 every Sunday you can pop along to Bridge Bar and pay £4.99 for a full roast with all the trimmings and puddings or a starter. Students were raving left right and centre, with Twitter posts showing clean plates and full stomachs; Union President Sam Ling later stating his enjoyment:
Crackling to die for and an amazing chocolate cheesecake.
There was however, a slight hiccup. One student got more than they bargained for after finding a new wriggling dining companion nestled in their meal… SUSU’s very own hungry caterpillar! They were given their money back and vouchers for two free meals.
The student said:
It’s an absolute disgrace and disgusting, but I still love SUSU and will carry on eating at Bridge Bar”
Don’t be put off though! The Tab verdict is that the meal is well worth a fiver and we would definitely recommend that you pop along and get yourself some grub. The Bridge will also be serving up Christmas meals every Wednesday 12 – 2 in the run up to Christmas, with mince pies and cream included!
