Mr Gaff is selling Garden of Vegan unless he can get £20,000 to save it

Anyone got 20k lying around??

As of last night, Mr Gaff listed staple Fallowfield business Garden of Vegan as for sale on Loot.com.

Mr Gaff says he'd need £20,000 to save the business, which is owned by his brother, from closure. He suggested to The Manchester Tab that students could buy shares.

Posted on Loot.com, the description lists the property as a "Shop Lease for sale at 222 Wimslow road Fallowfield, Manchester M14 6LF."

The listing states that the premise is a "PRIME location for most businesses. Take away permission until 11pm. The premises is in excellent condition. Opposite the famous Owens Park hall of student residence. An opportunity not to be missed!"

Mr Gaff told The Manchester Tab: "I need £20,000 pounds to save Gaffs. I need to buy my brother out. If not I have to sell the building and pay my brother, £20,000 pounds. This is the story.

"Then again, I am not Mark Zuckerberg. Now I have to find a proper job."

Supplying everything from vegan pizza to whipped cream, Garden of Vegan has been a fixture of the Fallowfield strip for longer than any student can recall, and late night journeys to the side window have been part of many Manchester students' uni experience.

Garden of Vegan is now the fourth business to close in Fallowfield this year, after Fallow, Tesco Express, The Font, amidst rumours about the council forcing Fallowfield bars to close early.
